Follow the tutorial
Meet your pet, learn to fish and start your island.
play.pixelrpgmc.comPlay through the introduction rather than rushing past it. Your first goals are simple: catch a fish, feed your axolotl and spend a pet stat point. Use /help for in-game commands.
The gameplay loop: catch fish → feed and train your axolotl → race or battle → improve your pet and your island. You choose what to focus on.
02 · YOUR HOME IN THE SKY
Make your little island yours.
Your Skyblock island is your base between adventures. Build somewhere to fish, organise your catches and give your pets a home.
- Follow the tutorial’s
/is createstep to start your island. - Use the island menu and its help to manage your island.
- Use
/is levelto update your island’s score, then check/leaderboards→ Island Levels.
Island rankings use saved island scores. A new build does not immediately change the leaderboard: recalculate your level and allow the board to refresh.
Some island bonuses can change fishing rarity weights. The catch-rate tables below deliberately exclude those bonuses so you can compare your base stats fairly.
03 · CATCH
Every cast has potential.
Fishing can give you a fish, a treasure chest or a wild axolotl encounter. Fish are useful for both earning money and training your pet, so do not sell every catch without thinking.
Open /fishing to manage your fishing stats. These are separate from your axolotl’s stats and from your overall fishing level.
- Bait
- Improves the rarity mix of fish. It increases non-Common weights, then the whole pool is normalised.
- Line
- Raises the maximum fish weight. Bigger fish of the same tier are worth more.
- Reel
- Reduces your wait for a bite. This is fishing speed, not a rarity stat.
- Hook
- Increases the chance that a successful reel gives a treasure chest.
- Scent
- Increases the chance that a successful reel starts a wild axolotl encounter.
- Luck
- Improves the rarity mix inside chest and wild axolotl encounters.
- XP Bonus
- Improves fishing XP gain. It does not directly change the rarity roll.
Base Bait, Line, Reel, Hook, Scent and Luck upgrades cap at level 1,000. Gear can add effective stat levels on top. Do not confuse that stat cap with your overall player level.
| Line stat | Minimum weight | Maximum weight |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 0.1 kg | 10 kg |
| Level 1,000 | 0.1 kg | 100 kg |
/sellfish sells the fish you are holding; /sellallfish sells fish from your inventory. Keep catches you want to feed to your pet.
What changes during events and lava fishing?
Events can use their own rules. Cherry fishing, for example, uses mystery fish and buckets instead of the normal encounter roll. Lava fishing has Nether fish and additional reward rules. Treat the rate tables as ordinary fishing, not as a promise for every event, dungeon or bonus item.
04 · THE NUMBERS
Catch rates: minimum vs maximum.
These are calculated from the fishing 1.0.59 source defaults. “Minimum” means the relevant fishing stats are level 1; “maximum” means level 1,000. No rod, armour, island or enchant bonuses are included.
These are a reference for the saved plugin build, not a live measurement of the server. Gear, island addons, special events, beginner encounters and later updates can change the result. Percentages are rounded to three decimal places.
First roll: what kind of catch?
Hook and Scent determine the catch type. Raising them means more chests and wild encounters, not more fish.
| Outcome | Lv. 1 Hook & Scent | Lv. 1,000 Hook & Scent |
|---|---|---|
| Fish | 96.000% | 84.000% |
| Treasure chest | 2.000% | 8.000% |
| Wild axolotl encounter | 2.000% | 8.000% |
Fish rarity — when your reel gives a fish
Bait improves fish rarity. These percentages are within the fish pool, not across all successful reels.
| Fish tier | Bait level 1 | Bait level 1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 63.900% | 48.263% |
| Uncommon | 20.000% | 28.663% |
| Rare | 10.000% | 14.332% |
| Epic | 5.000% | 7.166% |
| Legendary | 1.000% | 1.433% |
| Dragon | 0.100% | 0.143% |
Treasure rarity — when your reel gives a chest
Hook controls how often a chest appears. Luck controls its tier. The following percentages are conditional on receiving a chest.
| Chest tier | Luck level 1 | Luck level 1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 35.000% | 22.105% |
| Uncommon | 25.000% | 29.960% |
| Rare | 17.000% | 20.373% |
| Epic | 11.000% | 13.182% |
| Legendary | 8.000% | 9.587% |
| Dragon | 4.000% | 4.794% |
Wild axolotl rarity — when an encounter starts
Scent controls encounters. Luck controls the wild pet’s tier. Encountering a pet is not the same as successfully catching it: you still need to win and normally bring a Catching Jar.
| Wild pet tier | Luck level 1 | Luck level 1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 40.000% | 23.696% |
| Uncommon | 25.000% | 28.102% |
| Rare | 20.000% | 22.482% |
| Epic | 10.000% | 13.899% |
| Legendary | 4.000% | 7.687% |
| Dragon | 1.000% | 4.133% |
Putting the two rolls together: with all relevant stats at level 1, a normal reel has a 2% encounter chance × 1% Dragon share = 0.020% chance to encounter a Dragon. At level 1,000 Scent and Luck, this becomes about 0.331% per normal reel — before any gear or island bonuses.
How are these percentages calculated?
At level 1,000, the Bait/Luck multiplier is 1.8975: 99 points × 0.0025, then 400 × 0.0010, then 500 × 0.0005, added to 1. Common weights stay unchanged. Each pool is divided by its new total, so multiplying a rarity weight by 1.8975 does not multiply its final percentage by the same amount.
Hook and Scent start at 2%. Their additions are 99 × 0.025, 400 × 0.006 and 500 × 0.00225 percentage points, reaching 8% at level 1,000. The code caps each at 8%.
Wild Uncommon and Rare use weights of 25 × multiplier and 20 × multiplier. Epic, Legendary and Dragon use 10 + (bonus × 15), 4 + (bonus × 10), and 1 + (bonus × 6.66), where bonus is multiplier minus 1. These weights are also normalised.
Source reference: FishingListener.processCatch, handleFishCatch, getEncounterChance and getRPGStatBonus; ChestTier base weights. One ordinary successful reel is the comparison unit. Introductory encounters, bosses and extra fish do not use this comparison unchanged.
05 · TRAIN
From little pet to big contender.
Summon your axolotl, then right-click it with a fish to feed it. Right-click without feeding to open its management menu and spend your points.
- Normal fish feeding consumes the fish and charges its in-game value. Base pet XP is the fish’s value ÷ 10, before applicable bonuses.
- Feeder Fish do not charge the normal absorption cost. Tutorial feeding has its own rules.
- Each pet level gained gives a stat point. Use the pet menu to decide how your axolotl grows.
- Fishing and other pet activities can also give pet XP; check the in-game menus for your current bonuses.
What do the stats do?
- HP
- Your pet’s health in battles. Base training can reach 1,000.
- Fire, Water & Leaf
- Power for your elemental battle choices. Each base trained stat can reach 100.
- Speed
- Your pet’s riding speed. Useful for racing and getting around.
- Jump
- Your pet’s jumping ability while ridden.
- Endurance
- Your riding stamina, supporting sprinting.
- DNA & prestige
- Percentage bonuses to the six non-HP stats. These can raise effective totals above the base training caps.
Pet level, fishing level and racing level are different progression systems. Upgrading Bait does not upgrade Fire, and a faster rod does not make your axolotl run faster.
06 · BATTLE
Cute does not mean harmless.
Choose an element in battle. The matchup works like a three-way counter system:
Train your elemental stats as well as HP. A strong pet still benefits from the right choice at the right time.
How to catch a wild axolotl
- Bring your trained pet and buy a Catching Jar from
/merchant. - Fish until a wild encounter starts. Scent affects how often that happens; Luck affects its rarity.
- Win the battle. With a jar, the wild axolotl is caught; one jar is consumed.
- Without a jar, a normal win gives your active pet XP instead of awarding the wild pet.
Your introductory Uncommon encounter is a special beginner exception: the first offered encounter can award its pet without a jar. Bring jars for later wild battles.
Players, arenas and bosses
Use /battle <player> to challenge someone. /arena registers your active pet for the auto PvP arena; /tourney opens tournament options. Fishing also leads to boss encounters, while dungeons offer team PvE.
07 · RACE
Your axolotl. Your racing line.
Open /racing to join the queue, explore racing rewards and view your cups. Speed, Jump and Endurance belong to your pet; your player Racing Level is a separate progression track.
Race other players
Join a queued race and follow the track to the finish. Learn where to turn, when to sprint and how to save stamina. Placement rewards and challenges can help you progress.
Practise your best lap
Use /racing practice <track> for a time trial on an available track. Improve your personal best and use the ghost replay when enabled. Practice is separate from the competitive queue.
/race leave exits your racing activity. Leave before changing or managing the pet being used for the race.
Cups and rewards
Standard race prizes, racing XP and challenges have their own reward rules and cooldowns. Cup events can award permanent income cups. A cup’s saved payout accumulates for each full 15-minute interval, including offline time; collect through the racing menu.
Racing guide reference: AxoRacing 1.4.3. Track availability, reward amounts and enabled events depend on the server’s current settings.
08 · BUILD YOUR NEXT CHAMPION
Fusion & DNA.
Open /fusion to combine two pets of the same rarity tier. Despawn both first. Fusion creates one new pet: it is not a way to keep both parents and add their levels together.
Fusion consumes both parent pets. Check their tier, stats and identity before confirming. The saved build uses a two-hour player fusion cooldown.
Requirements and result
Both parents need the following minimum total HP, Fire, Water and Leaf. Flat bonuses, DNA and prestige bonuses count where applicable. These are stat requirements, not pet-level requirements.
| Two parents of this tier | Each required stat | Child tier |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 5 | Uncommon |
| Uncommon | 10 | Rare |
| Rare | 15 | Epic |
| Epic | 20 | Legendary |
| Legendary | 30 | Dragon |
| Dragon | 50 | Dragon |
The egg minigame
Reveal hidden cards to earn flat stat bonuses for the child. The new board has 40 stat cards and 14 bombs. A bomb ends the game and hatches the child with the bonuses already revealed; clearing all stat cards also hatches it. New stat cards use Fire, Water, Leaf, Speed, Jump and Endurance — not HP.
What is DNA?
DNA is a percentage boost on a non-HP stat. A wild pet rolls DNA on a number of randomly selected stats according to its tier:
| Wild pet tier | Stats with DNA | Roll on each selected stat |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 0 | None |
| Uncommon | 1 | 1–5% |
| Rare | 2 | 1–10% |
| Epic | 2 | 1–15% |
| Legendary | 3 | 1–25% |
| Dragon | 3 | 1–40% |
For each of the six DNA stats, fusion keeps the higher DNA percentage from either parent — it does not add the two percentages. If the child tier needs more DNA stats, empty stats can receive new rolls up to half the tier’s wild maximum, rounded down. The parents’ unlocked skin lists are merged for the child.
How do flat bonuses and percentage bonuses work together?
For a non-HP stat, the effective total is (trained base + flat bonus) × [1 + (DNA + prestige) ÷ 100], rounded down to a whole stat point. HP uses its trained base plus flat bonus, without a DNA multiplier.
Example: 50 trained Fire + 5 flat Fire, with 10% DNA and 2% prestige, gives 55 × 1.12 = 61.6 → 61 total Fire.
09 · LONG-TERM PROGRESSION
Start again. Keep a little more power.
Prestige is an advanced pet upgrade. In the saved build, the pet needs at least 100 total in all seven stats: HP, Fire, Water, Leaf, Speed, Jump and Endurance. Bonuses count.
- Cost: $10,000,000 in-game money for each prestige.
- The pet returns to level 1 with 0 XP and 0 unspent points. Trained HP returns to 5; the six other trained stats return to 1.
- It gains a permanent +1 percentage point prestige bonus on one random non-HP stat.
- DNA, existing flat bonuses, unlocked skins and previous prestige bonuses are retained.
- The maximum prestige count is 100.
Prestige resets your pet’s trained progression. Review the confirmation and make sure you are upgrading the right pet.
10 · UPGRADE YOUR KIT
Rods, enchants & treasure.
Fishing upgrades are not just player stats. Rod parts, armour and enchants can contribute effective bonuses or special effects.
/forgeopens the rod-building forge./enchantsopens rod enchant upgrades. Some effects can change your final catch, so the base rate tables do not include them./repairopens rod repair options. Keep an eye on durability before a long fishing session./merchantopens the rotating marketplace, including Catching Jars for wild pets.
Opening treasure chests
Treasure can contain money, materials or other rewards. A chest’s rarity is not its opening requirement: the saved chest tiers have these minimum fishing-level requirements.
| Chest | Required fishing level |
|---|---|
| Common | 1 |
| Uncommon | 1 |
| Rare | 15 |
| Epic | 25 |
| Legendary | 50 |
| Dragon | 100 |

11 · TEAM UP
Fishing with a boss-shaped problem.
Use /dungeon for the dungeon menu. Work with your team, catch dungeon fish and deposit fish into the cauldron to progress toward the boss. You can also feed suitable dungeon fish to your pet to heal it.
Dungeon fish have their own healing rules; they are not ordinary training fish. Higher tiers heal more. A fallen pet cannot be fed until it revives after the team defeats the boss.
Dungeon rarity rolls are fixed in this saved build: ordinary Bait and Luck do not change this pool. Level 1 and level 1,000 therefore have the same tier chances below. Extra-fish perks affect quantity, not these tier percentages.
| Dungeon fish | Chance at Lv. 1 | Chance at Lv. 1,000 | HP restored |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 30.000% | 30.000% | 1 |
| Uncommon | 30.000% | 30.000% | 2 |
| Rare | 20.000% | 20.000% | 3 |
| Epic | 11.500% | 11.500% | 4 |
| Legendary | 6.000% | 6.000% | 5 |
| Dragon | 2.500% | 2.500% | 10 |
| Super Dragon | Not in catch pool | Not in catch pool | 50 |
Dungeon pet feeding has a five-second cooldown. Each feed heals the pet’s temporary dungeon health and also awards pet XP under the dungeon rules.
Super Dragon is a special crafted dungeon fish, outside the normal catch pool. Follow the dungeon’s menus for crafting and upgrades. Dungeon loot and room rewards depend on their settings, rather than the ordinary fishing rate tables.
